Often a place, a person, or a memory that holds weight. But rather than simply recreating what was seen, my work is about uncovering what was felt.

Using a combination of paint, collage, and layered materials, I build each artwork from the inside out. Maps of meaningful locations, fragments of lyrics or vows, torn book pages, and expressive textures are embedded into the surface—forming a visual narrative that sits beneath and within the final image. These elements aren’t decorative; they are intentional, personal, and specific to you.

Current Project - Pattern in Place

A series of mixed-media studies exploring how pattern can be used as a starting point for landscape painting.

These pieces focus on repeated marks, colour blocks, collage, maps, music sheets, and text to build rhythm across the surface. The aim is to create movement before the final image is developed, using pattern to guide composition, direction, and energy.

This project is about testing how abstract marks can connect to real places, objects, and memories — turning pattern into the foundation of a painting rather than a decorative extra.
